Dear Ridgeview Families,
We want to welcome you to Ridgeview. We hope you had a great summer and are excited to start school. Ridgeview is a great school with a wonderful staff and fantastic students. The purpose of this letter is to fill you in on all that is planned for this year. We want for you to have these dates and programs early so that you can help us make this the best year ever.
The Ridgeview PTA has some exciting things planned for this year. Look forward to wonderful activities including Popcorn Fridays, Ridgeview Carnival, Love and Logic workshop, Kid Power and much more. You will find an information sheet in this packet on each event.
We would also like to extend an invitation to you for our first PTA meeting, which will be on September 11th from 6:30-8PM in the Ridgeview library. We usually have a short amount of business to take care of and then an informative program. Our program for the first meeting will be presented by the wonderful child psychologists from the Neuro Assessment Center. Also, we always provide free childcare at our meetings. Meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Please plan on attending.
PTA is a strictly VOLUNTEER organization. None of the elected board members, committee chairs or volunteers is paid. All the money we raise during the year goes directly back into the school. Your membership shows support for those volunteers even if you cannot attend a single meeting. Please take the time to join PTA this year. You put the “P” in PTA.
Volunteer opportunities are plentiful. If you are interested in a board position or just volunteering to do something from home, we can use you. We have a “3 for me” program that asks you to commit to volunteering just 3 hours a year. Please sign up at the PTA table at Back to School night, when the flyer comes home in Thursday folders, or by e-mailing one of us.
